The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Dietary Health is a cross-party group of Peers and MPs that was founded in 2026.
The Obesity Health Alliance provides the secretariat for the APPG on Dietary Health. Documents produced by the APPG in the course of its work (including reports and letters) will be made available on this site.

About the APPG

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Dietary Health is a cross-party group of Peers and MPs that was founded in 2026.

The goal of the APPG is to provide a cross-party forum to inform and promote parliamentary discussions related to policies to address poor dietary health and the health impacts of the commercial food system, with a focus on population-level interventions that will effectively and equitably prevent dietary-related illness.

The Obesity Health Alliance provides the secretariat for the APPG on Dietary Health. The Obesity Health Alliance is a coalition group of over 70 of the UK’s leading health charities and medical Royal Colleges. The OHA is hosted by Diabetes UK (registered charity number 215199) and is led by a Steering Group composed of the British Heart Foundation, British Medical Association, Cancer Research UK, Children’s Food Campaign, Diabetes UK, Faculty of Public Health, Nesta and the Royal College of Physicians. The Obesity Health Alliance is an independent public health organisation which does not accept commercial funding.
